The former Ohio State running back,#4 overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft,  and current prize child of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and Head Coach Jason Garrett, has found himself in quite a bit of trouble during his rookie and sophomore seasons.

Back in July of 2016, Ezekiel Elliott was faced with a domestic violence charge where he allegedly attacked his girlfriend in her car. This report was dismissed due to screen shots that proved the altercation could have been staged for money or revenge; also, inconsistent and conflicting information caused the case to be dropped.

Then, back in March of this last year, Elliott was attending a St. Patrick’s Day parade and while he was there he wound up with a group of women. While amongst these women Elliott found the courage to pull down the shirt of one of the woman and expose her breast. Elliott’s representative reported that the woman was not offended by this action and continued to hang out with the all-pro running back. Her reaction to the situation does not excuse Elliott’s actions.

Along with those public scene,s he made another appearance in the not-so favorable light as he was almost dealt another domestic violence charge. Ezekiel Elliott was out late on a Sunday night where he and another gentleman met in an altercation. The man who met Ezekiel in the altercation received a broken nose. Neither man was arrested and no formal police report was filed.

That doesn’t change the fact that Ezekiel Elliott seems to have a hard time staying out of the public light. Ezekiel has been warned multiple times by multiple different sources. Herman Edwards told the young running back at the Pro Bowl that he needs to watch out because he is on a much bigger platform now, this isn’t Columbus. Tony Romo said that Elliott will be fine he is just trying to adjust to the new platform he is on. Adjusting to the NFL is a process and he will do it just fine according to the former Dallas quarterback. Jerome Bettis said that Elliott has really been deprived of that positive reinforcement of an older player to cool him down and stop him from going off the rails so to speak. Hopefully, Elliott can find a way to start keeping himself out of the negative light of the media.
