NFL Madden Mobile 17 Review

By August 16, 2016One Comment

Everyone’s favorite football phone game is back again this year! Whether you have an Apple or Android phone, you get can get it. All the changes, new features, and gameplay pictures are just a click away!

When you enter into the game, you obviously have to sign up (using social media or just creating an account) and then you can get right in on the action. If you’ve played Madden Mobile in the past, then you’ll get packs based on how many achievements you’ve earned, then, once you open the packs, it’ll take you to your legacy team (your team from the year before). If you’re new, you’ll get some “base” cards to start your team off with and then you can get straight into live events, head to head, leagues, or season mode.

Live events are where you’ll spend most of your time by trying to get new collectibles to add to set.

Head to head is just as it sounds; you play on offense against other user’s defenses and vice-versa for about three turns each.

Leagues are basically head to head on a team. Through winning or losing a match with your league, you’ll get collectibles that will (once you get 10 collectibles) give you a league pack.

Finally, you have season mode; the one mode where you really get to play with your offense, defense, and special teams!

Pro tip: Complete sets. Sets are the easiest way to get elite players at the start of the game.

Sets have been in Madden Mobile since it first started out. Sets are collections for players, packs, or collectibles that are completed by inserting a certain number of specific players, trophies, and collectibles.

Madden Mobile has added a few new AWESOME gameplay mechanics. We finally have a scramble button! For the first time, having a mobile quarterback can really help your team out. On defense there are new swipe mechanics for using finesse moves, power moves, and block-shedding. Juking, catching, tackling, and many other mechanics in the game have stayed pretty much the same as last year’s game, which is great considering that they weren’t broken.

Your legacy team (your final team from last year) can only be used in certain “legacy” themed live events. This way, if you had a team full of 99 overalls, you still have to start over just like everyone else. This is also motivation to make your team as good as possible for next year’s legacy lineup!

Pro tip: Be active on the auction house/marketplace. The auction section of the game is where you can post or buy different players. The best thing about the auction house is that some users who have way too many good players will put up their unused good players for cheap to get rid of them. Take advantage of that.

I have been playing Madden Mobile since it first came out, so this might be a little biased, but I have got o give this game a 9/10. Of course, just like every game, it’s not perfect, but Madden Mobile is the only game on the App/Google Play store that gives us the ability to play football with real NFL players on our phones! Make sure to check it out and give it a download! Tell us what you think about Madden Mobile 17 on Twitter (@teenviewmag) or in the comments section below!
