Pokemon Go-App Review

By July 13, 20164 Comments

Pokemon Go is a Pokemon game like no other; it allows you to actually capture Pokemon. Pokemon Go uses your camera and your GPS system to augmented reality to allow you to walk around town and Capture Pokemon, Visit and battle at gyms, and fill your Pokedex.

This game, which really seems like a disguise to get people active, allows you to create a character and join a team and catch Pokemon.

The game is pretty easy to use. My biggest issue was learning how to flick the Pokeballs but once you get that down it is pretty easy. All of the functions, settings, and game features are all with in a couple clicks.

The game is fun. There are only three things that bring the replay rating down: server crashes/game glitches, the obligation to move, and the battery drainage.

I experienced a server crash or a game glitch multiple times a day and every day that I played the game. This makes it hard to get into a game if you just get booted while you’re in the middle of a walk.

To catch Pokemon you have to move around. This is a good and bad thing, due to the need to move you cannot always find time to play the app. This doesn’t mean that this game is not playable, this just means that you might actually have to schedule time to walk around somewhere to get the full enjoyment of the app or just condition yourself to boot up the app as soon as you walk to the bathroom or to and from your vehicle.

The continuous usage of the location on your phone severely drains your battery. This is not a problem for dedicated users as they have learned to pack a power bank of some sort but for casual users this can be an issue.

The game is as fun as you make it. If you choose not to go out and search then you won’t have fun. If you go out and find Pokemon you will have fun. The game also comes as a social tool as there are gyms throughout the city. Along  the way you are bound to encounter other Pokemon go users as the game is getting very popular.

My only issue is that I wish that you could customize your character more. Customization is very limited.

The graphics are clean and appealing. It is interesting to see the blend between the animation and reality. It would be cool to see more realistic animation to make the Pokemon look like actual creatures in the world but this is not a necessity.

thank you, I’m glad you like the game, even a lot of us play on a daily. This is a really good game to get people up and moving and get to have people out and meet new people and new friends by doing the same thing. I’ve met new friends even just through this game. It is very entertaining.

It’s Very Helpful To Get People Walking. But All Of The Accidents Are Horrible. It is a Good Old Game. But They Should Make It Safer.
