The Golden State Warriors are your 2017 NBA Champions! Golden State beats the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers 4-1 in the best of seven series.

Let’s begin with congratulating both teams. The Warriors really blew this series open in the first three games, and then lost game four, leading people to believe that they would lose in seven games (a feat which has never been accomplished before). However, the Dubs proved too much for the Cavs by beating them 129-120.

The Warriors really beat the Cavs by using  the “death lineup” consisting of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green. Whilst small, the lineup was efficient by using passing, IQ, and defense. It created mismatches offensively such as having Kevin Love defending Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala being able to guard Kyrie Irving.

The Cavs were able to steal one game at home, but all it did was delay the inevitable. Even with Lebron James averaging a triple-double throughout the finals, nothing could cover up the disappearance of Kevin Love, who didn’t score in the first half and ended with only six points. Tristan Thompson showed up with fifteen points, but just couldn’t get over the nasty Kardashian curse. Kyrie Irving, J.R. Smith, and LeBron combined for 92 of Cleveland’s 120 points

Are we witnessing the beginning of a dynasty? With four All-Stars all under the age of thirty, the Golden State Warriors are almost sure to be playing in June for years to come.
