Former MVP and seven-time All Star Kevin Durant has joined the Golden State Warriors on a two-year, $54.3 million contract.  WOW

The Warriors are now surely the favorites for the 2017 title. This may help the bay area, but it certainly doesn’t help the NBA. This team is now a super-team. Instead of just Batman and Robin, it’s now the Justice League! The Warriors now have back-to-back MVP Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson (who, in my opinion, is the best shooter in the NBA), Draymond Green (All defensive first team, one-time all star, and leader in kicks to Steven Adams), and now KD. Not to mention their deep bench.

The only bright spot for us non-Warriors fans is that this contract will include a one-year player option, so that Durant will be a free agent next offseason as well.

Golden State is expected to renounce the rights of Harrison Barnes, and move Center Andrew Bogut

I for one am very happy about the move. In one of your earlier post that the NBA is rigged, this plays into that story-line. If Cleveland Cavaliers win next year against this super team, it will cement Lebron as the greatest player ever and that is what the NBA and Nike needs!

Man that just means the rest of the Teams in the NBA Needs to step they game up! Shoot no one was complaining when Jordan had the super team back in 97. Everyone was just happy to compete.

This is a very interesting move. I wouldn’t be upset with KD if he played for the 76ers, Bobcats, or the Nuggets, but he played for OKC. The 3rd best team in the NBA. OKC even made a good trade sending Ibaka to Magic.

KD’s slogan should be, “If you can’t beat them, join them!”
