The United Kingdom held a referendum on Thursday (referendum: a general vote by the people on a single political question that has been given to them for direct decision) to decide whether Britain would stay in or leave the EU (European Union). The “leave” campaign won with 52 percent to the “stay” campaigns 48 percent. Basically, a total of 17.4 million people cast their vote to leave EU and 16.1 million people wanted to stay.
On Sunday June 1 the world woke up to sombering news. A Florida resident, Omar Mateen, gunned down 49 people and injured dozens more. The shooting took place at a gay nightclub, Pulse, in Orlando. This event is the United States most deadly shooting and the worst attack on American soil since 9/11.
There are politicians, experts, victims, witnesses, and so many more speaking about Orlando. There are vigils in Paris, and filters on Facebook, and so much more.

Teenview Magazine had the opportunity to cover Power 93.5’s Powerhouse Jam 2016, and we have pictures to share with you. For those who don’t know, Powerhouse Jam is Power 93.5’s annual concert, and year after year, has proven to be local summer hotspot. This year’s lineup included big names like Kevin Gates, Yo Gotti, and Wiz Khalifa, as well as local artist XV.
