Okay, so let’s state the obvious: Bill Self is thinking, “Boy, am I glad this isn’t my problem!” No, but seriously, a D.U.I. is no joking matter. For a player with the talent of Conner Frankamp, we can’t help but to wonder is the pressure of his decision overwhelming him? Not to make any excuses, but to search for an answer as to why someone with such a promising future would put it all on the line. Is this a bigger sign that there is trouble in the “Frankamp Camp?” Is his absence from the game affecting his psyche? Well, we hope not!!!

With Frankamp now a part of the Shockers, we have a huge opportunity to continue basketball success. He is a great guard to build around and also attract other great players to the team.  Also, we can expect to have him around for a while. Being a “hometown guy,” it is easy for the city to rally around him.

The hope being that whatever he is facing during this time, let the city  rally around our own “son,” not accepting these types of decisions or behaviors, but giving him the support he needs to make the wisest decisions.

Imagine if your mistakes were plastered all over ESPN for the whole world to see. That could really drive any person to drink. No pun intended!
