The Final Four. The biggest event in all of college sports. One team that beat the number one team in the nation. One team that has a college superstar. One team whose coach has a head coaching legacy of twenty-eight years. One team who wasn’t supposed to be here. Yep, this is the craziest time in all of sports.

North Carolina versus Syracuse. Oklahoma versus Villanova. Four teams who somehow all have an equal shot to win a title

Keys to the game: North Carolina vs. Syracuse

Syracuse: Defense. This entire game comes down to defense. In the half-court, Syracuse ranked twenty-fifth in scoring defense, allowing only 64 points per game. These stats could be incredibly important considering they’re facing up against the number-ten scoring team in the nation, North Carolina.

North Carolina: Fast break offense and defense. UNC needs to control the pace of the game. If they can get fast break opportunities, they break Syracuse out of their dreaded 2-3 zone defense, thus creating a problem for the Orange, and if the Tar Heels can manage to keep Syracuse in the half court on offense, then they’re putting the ‘Cuse in an uncomfortable position.

Keys to the game: Oklahoma vs. Villanova

Villanova: Three-point shooting. Oklahoma is going to shoot lights out. And when I say that Oklahoma is going to, I mean Buddy Hield is going to shoot lights out. He can’t really be shut down, at least that’s how it’s been during Oklahoma’s Final Four Run. The best way for Nova to fight against the shooting of Hield and Oklahoma is to knock down their own shots from deep. Considering the fact that I think that Villanova is the better team, then I think if the Wildcats can at least match the Sooners’ shooting, they should be able to win the game.

OklahomaBuddy Hield. The Sooners have arguably the best player in all of college basketball on their team, especially when it comes to putting the ball in the hoop, so they should stick to their guns. Giving Hield the reigns of this offense will most likely create opportunities for his teammates, as well. Hield is going to get his, the question is: Will his team provide support?

Predictions: North Carolina beats Syracuse 73-59 & Oklahoma beats Villanova 82-77. UNC’s talent is too much for the Cinderella of this ball, Syracuse. Oklahoma has Buddy Hield and Syracuse doesn’t. End of story.
