All year, Wichita State has not been giving the love they deserve.  Okay, they were pre-ranked #16 or so at the start of the season.  However, it has taken them forever to move up the ranks and still have not received the #1 ranking they deserve.  But hey, this is all more the reason we believe they will SHOCK the world with a PERFECT season!

WSU has not received the respect they deserved.  After going to the Final Four and putting it to Louisville, giving them all they could handle, there are still those who don’t believe.   WSU has followed up that wonderful run through the tournament with an unbelievable start and finish to the season undefeated through the regular season with one more game to play on Saturday March 1!

But here is the catch, if we would have lost only one game in our conference, people would argue that if we were so good, we should go undefeated; If we go undefeated, we have a weak conference.  But what about Creighton?  They just left the Missouri Valley last year to go to the Big East where they have the tie breaker over Villanova for first place!  And if going undefeated is so easy in weaker conferences, why do we not see that happen more often.  Okay that’s been said already.

Wichita State has talent and experience.   Something that a lot of other teams from bigger conference don’t have.  There are no BIG Egos, even though local media has tried to make Ron Baker Josie from the Pussycats (see the movie), they are able to flow together as a TEAM.  They know what it takes to make it to the Final Four.  They have young mature leaders.  They are well coached!

The best thing that could have happen to WSU is not getting the respect.  Now it gives them the reason to let all the analyst-heads that they have been wrong and this team is worth their respect.  So thank you for not showing the love and giving WSU a reason to….. Yeah, #PLAYANGRY-E
