If I were to ask you who is the best point guard of all time, many of you would put Stephen Curry in that category.  I wouldn’t blame you, he is one of the purest shooters I have seen in a long time.  He plays like a pro among armatures, no disrespect to the rest of the NBA, but he is good.  But is he really the best, have the NBA improved as a league or are we looking at a diluted product.  I am older than most and I remember a hard-hitting, sucker punch league where if you drove the ball down the middle, there would be HELL to pay!  And yet, some of the best point guards in the game took on the challenge and fought for every point they got, literally!  Nowadays, it’ like an open road to drive it down the middle.

But the question is, who is the best point guard of all time?  Lets look at two: Stephen Curry and Isaiah Thomas by the numbers:

Curry first 6 years:  8,714 points, 717 steals, 2,866 assists, 1,719 rebounds and 89 blocks

Not bad, I said he was good.

Thomas firs 6 years: 9,827 points, 964 steals, 4,879 assists, 1,771 rebounds, and 144 blocks.

Wait what!  Zeke out preformed Curry in his first 6 years during a time where basketball was the mini MMA and Thomas wasn’t even the best!  That title would go to Magic Johnson!
