Black Panther was incredible! And now that Black Panther 2 is coming out, I have some expectations.

Since the main actor for Black Panther passed away, I think that they need a new Black Panther. I don’t know who will become the next Black Panther. But, I hope that they at least have a scene where they mourn the main actor’s death.

Hopefully, they will be able to make a better movie. I have high expectations for the movie, including if they show a new Marvel “cameo” that would even boost my rating of the movie.

REVIEW

Makenzie Johnson –

As someone that’s not very big on watching movies, I’m very excited to say that this is one movie that I absolutely have to watch. From the trailer of the movie, it looks absolutely amazing; the graphics and the story. Everything is “perfect.” I’m not the only one who says this either; many other people or rather the Black Community, as a whole, agrees with what I have to say.

First, let’s start with the story. If you are already very familiar with the Marvel Universe, you’ll be able to follow along pretty smoothly. I’m not one who is personally all caught up on all of the lore; but in my opinion, you can still enjoy the movies without all of that. From the last movie, the continuation of the story of “The Black Panther” is nice, crisp, and smooth; the transition is very good. It also includes a variety of cultures into it, instead of just one which makes it even better. All of the diversity in one place is most definitely something that I’m going to enjoy!

Along with the story, the graphics look absolutely amazing. The clothing for the New-Age Mayan-inspired kingdom looks absolutely wonderful and pays great homage to the Mayan kingdom or Hispanic/Latino heritage, in general. As stated before, it’s very inclusive of different cultures and manages to tie them together so well, making everyone proud of it and feeling known due to that fact. The visuals are very satisfying and seem to flow together. They almost seem a bit realistic, especially for those who may be watching for the first time.

One more thing that I want to address would be the choices in which actors they picked. Of course, they have a wide-range of people, most of which are Black or African American to achieve this type of representation for the Black Community. Fortunately, they chose extremely well! Numerous times, they tend to choose “light skins” any time they want any type of “Black” representation which is pleasant, yes, but even then, they need to have a wider range of representation from the Black Community. Now, we can move onto the Hispanic/Latino community and the actors they chose for the Mayan-inspired kingdom. They have a wide range of the ethnic group, not just limiting it to one type of Hispanic/Latino, which is great; inclusivity is something that’s amazing to have. Overall, with the new addition, the movie might be able to help both the Black and Latino Communities bond just a tiny bit.

Marvel has done a wonderful job at “inclusivity” when it comes to ethnicity, visually and story-wise. I was heavy on the inclusivity because I’m one who is big on thinking that each culture should be shared and told. Each ethnic group should be given their right to be proud of their culture and “sport it.” The story is also very good and flows wonderfully, making it easy for Marvel enjoyers to watch as well as anyone that may enjoy movies, in general. And of course, the visuals are amazing, not choppy and are very appealing to look at; they are very satisfying and pay wonderful respect to both the cultures that they are honoring. This is truly something I’m looking forward to watching and from what many others are saying, it’s supposed to be the longest Marvel movie as well; spanning about 2 or more hours – even with that being said, it will definitely be worth the watch!
