Here are the five players I think need to make a big impact in the playoffs.

  1. Teddy Bridgewater – The Vikings went 11-5 this season, thus clinching the 3rd seed in the NFC playoff pictures. Much, if not all, of their success is credited towards Adrian Peterson, this season’s leading rusher. I really like the way the Vike’s offense plays, relying on AP and letting Teddy get comfortable in the pocket. If Bridgewater doesn’t turn the ball over and provides on big-play opportunities, the Vikings have a legit shot at the Super Bowl.
  2. Kirk Cousins – Winning the worst division in football isn’t all that impressive. Even worst, the Redskins won it with a 9-7 record. The two positives they have coming from the regular season are, a) their 4-game winning streak and b) the play of QB Kirk Cousins. Cousins, who ended the year with 29 TDs, 11 INTs, and a 101.6 QB rating. With such a poor running game, Cousins will have to play extraordinary in order for Washington to pull the upset on the slumping Packers. Also… “DO YOU LIKE THAT?”

  1. DeAngelo Williams – The surprising gem of the Steeler’s playoff-bound season. Even though Williams replaced Le’Veon Bell with ease this season, Williams went down in week 17 with a foot injury, which has held him from two straight practices. If Williams does play against the Bengals, the Steelers might limit just in case they can pull an upset on Cincy.

  1. Peyton Manning – After 3 straight possessions of turning the ball over, the Broncos turned from Brock Osweiler to the not 100% sheriff, Peyton Manning. Manning led Denver to the win and the number-one seed in the AFC. Will Manning play like he did last week or will he choke again in the playoffs like past years?

  1. The entire Green Bay offense – I really don’t know where to begin. Aaron Rodger’s play? Eddie Lacy’s struggles? Or the overall feeling of this team’s future sinking? This team needs to find its identity and I think that starts with Aaron Rodgers. Make sure to check out the Packers as they take on the Washington Redskins in the Wild Card game.
