Former WWE Legend King Kong Bundy has died, WWE has announced early today. He was 61.

King Kong Bundy, whose real name is Christopher Pallies, was known for his large size in the ring. He was 6’4 and weighed 458 pounds. He was known for having referees count to five, instead of three, when he pinned his opponents to show just how amazing and brutal he was in the ring.

King Kong Bundy was well known in the ’80s. Some of his biggest moments were when he was feuding with WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. They even wrestled for the title at Wrestlemania 2, the biggest pay per view of the year.

He was known backstage as a kind gentleman among his colleagues.  Wrestlers all over have sent their tributes for the former wrestler on social media including the likes of Mike Foley and Hulk Hogan himself.

at the time of writing, there is no word on what led to Bundy’s passing or when it exactly happened.
