The fossil was said to be about the size of a sedan car and weight about the same. The giant fossil inhabited a huge wetland across northern South America before the Amazon and Orinoco rivers were formed. The fossil had deep scars that indicated that it probably had to fight off a few predators, including giant crocodiles! One of the fossils found contained a giant tooth in its shell from one giant crocodile.
Researchers think the giant turtle lived at the bottom of the lakes and rivers alongside giant crocodiles eating anything from small animals, vegetation, fruit, and seeds.
This just goes to show that there were many GIANT animals on this Earth way before us. Good thing they are no longer walking the Earth with us.
