I was always stressed about typing on the home row as a little kid in elementary. Well you know I never listened because random typing was “obviously faster”. As I got older I got the courage to try home row typing and here is what happened

I kept chicken typing for my whole life till eighth grade. When I got to eighth grade I got in technology class again. He gave us options every day as bell work to get on the code website or the typing website. I just decided to start learning the home row since I had the opportunity to. The process was very slow I was learning the home row for about 2 months(started in August). I didn’t think I was actually gonna learn it, but when those 2 months went by I fully knew the home row. I didn’t have to look at the keyboard to type anymore! To get faster at typing I went on to nitro type and started typing competitively

When I finished learning the home row I was averaging around 44 words a minute. That was faster than I have before(when I was chicken typing). Whenever I got free time in class I went on nitro type and started racing but it was worth it. I kept getting on nitro type and just didn’t stop getting on it. A month, (November), went by and my words a minute went up by ten. I was typing 54, 55 words a minute average. When I saw the progress I was surprised and had the urge to keep typing. I kept getting on nitro type and I kept getting faster. A month later, (December), I was typing 65, 67 words a minute and I kept improving. January and February my progress slowed wasn’t ten words each month but five. Now today I average 74 to 75 words a minute with my highest words a minute being 85. Since I took the step to learn the home row, I now type fast.

In conclusion using the home row was always the fastest typing method. Just stop being lazy and try it. As shown my typing speed kept improving each month and didn’t stop. Therefore if you want to get faster at typing and you haven’t switched over to the home row. What are you doing get practicing now!

Wow, John way to go! My only complaint is: don’t be so formal in the ending just end it how you would end it.
